How did I create a group training program in just 1 month?

If you're a coach who's been teaching people 1-1, and you're ready to supplement or replace that offer with one that lets you help multiple people at a time, here's a quick overview of four strategies I used that empowered me to create a program in just one month:

1. Focus on one topic.

You don't need "“ and your clients don't WANT "“ you to teach them everything you know in one program. People usually buy programs to solve a specific problem or get a specific result, so focus on the information required to get that result. If you add a bunch of off-topic stuff, instead of feeling like the program is more valuable, your clients might feel like you're charging them for - and asking them to waste time on - information they don't care about.

2. Prioritize!

There are probably items on your calendar that could potentially get results, but aren't mandatory or time-sensitive. Postpone these activities for a few weeks, so you can use the time you would have spent on them to get this program created.

3. Have a clear roadmap.

Walk yourself through your clients' journey. What's the first step they have to take to start moving from where they are to where they want to be, and what EXACT actions and mindset shifts do they need to complete that step?

What's the second step? And the third? Write down the steps in the order in which your clients will need to implement them, then under each step, write down all the things they need to know to complete that step. This can include examples, exercises, best practices, mistakes to avoid, scripts, templates, and anything else they need to make sure they can follow your instructions as easily and effectively as possible.

For those who are interested, I give more detailed instructions for outlining your course in 1 Month Program Builder; I'll talk more about that in a moment.

4. Know your tools.

If you're delivering your teaching or supplementing your pre-recorded materials via live group calls, you'll need to have software that enables you to do group calls, and a plan for making those calls informative and engaging.

If you're offering pre-recorded training, you'll need to know how to record and edit audios and videos, and how to create slides and combine them with the audio to make videos.

As with step 3, you can either learn to do all of this yourself, or hire someone else to do it so you can focus on what you already know and are good at.

If you need help with any of these steps, I've created an easy-to-follow, step-by-step walkthrough called 1 Month Program Builder. You can get it in book form, audio/video form, or live coaching form, so you can choose the method that works best for you. Just pick a link below, and it'll take you to a page where you can see all the details.

Get the book            Get the audio/video course            Get the live coaching

And if you want me to do any part of the process for you, such as writing or editing the written materials, editing audios or videos, or setting the completed course up on your website, please contact me so we can discuss the details.

I look forward to helping you turn your wisdom into a life-changing program!
